Erythrite 2024 Domaine des Ardoisières
The supreme elegance of Mondeuse on the clay soils of Arbin
The cuvée Erythrite is the new red gem of the Domaine des Ardoisières. Named after a rare mineral with violet reflections (echoing the color of the wine), this cuvée comes from the prestigious terroir of Arbin, known for offering the finest expressions of Mondeuse.
Under the expert hand of Brice Omont, this emblematic grape variety from Savoie gains an aristocratic dimension here. Forget about gripping tannins: Erythrite offers a silky texture, intense aromatic depth, and that mineral vibrancy characteristic of the estate.

-
The Nose: An explosion of small black fruits (blackberry, blueberry) intertwined with floral notes of violet and the characteristic white pepper of Mondeuse.
-
The Palate: The attack is smooth and very fluid. The tannic structure is of extreme finesse thanks to aging in amphora, which allows the wine to breathe without imparting woodiness. There is a menthol freshness and a deep mineral sap.
-
The Finish: Long, spicy, and saline, it leaves an impression of absolute purity.
🍽️ Food & Wine Pairings
A high-end red wine that will elevate your tables:
-
Meats: A roasted pigeon, a pork tenderloin with cranberries, or a duck breast with mild spices.
-
Local Cuisine: A braised ham on the bone or a veal sweetbreads with morels.
-
C cheeses: A matured goat cheese or a wheel of farmhouse Reblochon.
Sommeliers' Note: Erythrite is a wine that has great aging potential (8 to 10 years), but can be enjoyed right now after an hour of decanting. Serve it around 15-16°C.
