Aigue Marine 2024 Domaine des Ardoisières
The cuvée Aigue Marine marks a new step in the history of the Domaine des Ardoisières. Unlike the emblematic cuvées born on the schists of Cévins, Aigue Marine draws its strength from the clay-limestone terroir of Arbin.
Here, Brice Omont reinterprets the grape variety Roussanne (the famous "Bergeron") with the signature precision characteristic of the estate: far from heavy and alcoholic whites, one discovers a wine with crystalline clarity, combining the generosity of fruit with an electrifying mineral tension.

-
The Nose: An elegant and ripe bouquet dominated by fresh pear, lemon zest, and mountain flowers, highlighted by a subtle touch of wet stone.
-
The Palate: The attack is sharp. The texture is both fleshy (typical of Roussanne) and incredibly sleek. The aging in terracotta (amphora) provides a superb patina without masking the purity of the fruit.
-
The Finish: Remarkable saline persistence, almost iodized, that recalls the name of the cuvée and invites to gastronomy.
🍽️ Food & Wine Pairings
Its unique structure allows it to accompany characterful dishes:
-
Fish: A lightly seared lake whitefish or a char with lemon butter.
-
Fine Cuisine: A citrus scallop tartare or an asparagus risotto.
-
Cheeses: Ideal with a Tome des Bauges or an aged Comté.
Sommelier's Note: This is a "living" wine. A slight deposit may appear (a sign of an unfiltered wine). Decanting for 15 to 30 minutes will allow it to reveal all its complexity.
