The Renaissance of a Jura Terroir

Domaine Fumey-Chatelain has traveled a remarkable path since its creation in the 1980s. Today, Marin Fumey’s arrival alongside his parents has infused a modern and demanding vision, placing the estate among the top names to watch in the Jura region.

A philosophy centered on nature:

  • Terroir: The estate is set on iridescent marl and limestone soils, particularly favorable for Savagnin, Chardonnay, and Poulsard.

  • Viticulture: Committed to organic certification, the estate focuses on soil management and controlled yields to achieve perfectly healthy grapes.

  • Winemaking: Intervention is kept to a minimum. Marin uses indigenous yeasts and limits additives. Whites are crafted in two styles: "ouillé" (topped-up for freshness) or "sous voile" (under flor for traditional Jura character).
