Roussette de Frangy 2024 - Bruno Lupin
Roussette de Savoie Frangy by Bruno Lupin is the ultimate benchmark for the Altesse grape. Sourced from south-facing molasse (calcareous sandstone) terroirs, this cuvée shines with masterful balance. The nose reveals a complex bouquet of white flowers, fresh hazelnut, pineapple, and mountain honey. On the palate, the attack is direct and lively, followed by a fleshy, silky texture that coats a crystalline minerality. The finish is long, marked by noble bitterness and saline notes perfect for food pairing. Vinified without any oak to preserve the fruit's brilliance, this is a surgically precise Roussette, capable of aging beautifully in the cellar to gain complexity.

The Vertical Elegance of Savoie Bruno Lupin seeks to extract the essence of the Altesse grape by scrupulously respecting the identity of his Frangy terroir.
-
Frangy Terroir: The vines benefit from a unique microclimate in the Usses valley, protected from cold winds. The molasse soil provides the mineral tension and fine acidity that define the estate's wines.
-
Protective Winemaking: Grapes are harvested at full ripeness. Fermentation is slow, using indigenous yeasts. Aging takes place exclusively in stainless steel tanks on fine lees to nourish the wine without masking its natural freshness.
-
Aging Potential: While delicious in its youth for its vibrant fruit, this Roussette gains tremendously from 3 to 5 years of cellaring, developing notes of white truffle and beeswax.
