Pouilly-Fuissé Vieilles Vignes 2024 Domaine Pascal Renaud

Made from a blend of approximately 15 old-vine Chardonnay parcels, each at least 65 years old, this cuvée expresses the clay-limestone terroir of the Mâconnais with clarity and poise.

Hand-harvested grapes undergo gentle pressing and natural yeast fermentations in demi-muids and large casks, followed by about 18 months of aging on fine lees.

The bouquet shows ripe yellow fruit, white flowers, almond and hazelnut notes, with a pronounced mineral backbone. On the palate, the wine starts fresh and lively, developing richness and structure with a long, persistent finish.

Enjoyable young but also rewarding with a few years of bottle age — evolving toward quince, peach and candied fruit — this Pouilly-Fuissé strikes a beautiful balance between depth and elegance.
