  • Committed Organic Farming: No chemical fertilizers or weedkillers. Soil work is essential to force roots to draw freshness from deep down, which is vital in this sunny climate.

  • Harmonious Grenache and Mourvèdre: Grenache provides body and fruit, while Mourvèdre and Syrah structure the cuvées with notes of spice and garrigue.

  • Aging in Vats and Foudres: Philippe Cartoux uses very little new oak. Aging takes place mostly in concrete vats or large oak foudres to refine tannins while preserving the brilliance of black fruit.

  • Controlled Yields: Short pruning and rigorous selection result in dense juices that are always balanced by a beautiful natural acidity.
