List of products by brand Domaine Jean-Baptiste Boudier
Established in 2015 in Pernand-Vergelesses, Domaine Jean-Baptiste Boudier is the brainchild of a talented young winemaker who honed his skills at legendary estates like Roulot in Burgundy and Ganevat in the Jura. Across just 7 hectares, JB crafts wines that stand out for their razor-sharp definition. From his Pernand-Vergelesses and Aloxe-Corton to his spectacular Bourgogne Aligoté, every cuvée is a quest for purity. His philosophy is rooted in meticulous viticulture and low-intervention winemaking, aiming to let the terroir speak without the mask of excessive oak. The whites boast remarkable saline tension, while the reds shine with fine tannins and vibrant fruit. A connoisseur's signature, already highly sought after.
Burgundian Craftsmanship
The Jean-Baptiste Boudier style is defined by a quest for verticality. Here, the goal is not opulence, but the vibration of the soil.
The pillars of JB Boudier's expertise:
-
Heritage & Boldness: Although coming from a winemaking family, Jean-Baptiste carved his own path, imposing a modern, tight, and "purist" style that stands out for its technical mastery.
-
Soil Work: Precision viticulture that respects natural cycles, promoting grapes with a perfect balance between ripeness and acidity.
-
"Infusion" Winemaking: For reds, JB favors very gentle extraction. For whites, pressing is slow, and aging occurs mostly in seasoned barrels to preserve minerality.
-
In Praise of Aligoté: The estate is a leader in the Aligoté revival, producing a cuvée ("Moutier") that rivals great Côte d'Or whites in complexity and aging potential.
