Domaine des Chanes, based in Chénas in the Beaujolais region, crafts small-production natural wines — reds, whites and Beaujolais — from environmentally mindful viticulture and minimal cellar intervention. 

Domaine des Chanes is an artisanal winery located in the Chénas appellation of Beaujolais, dedicated to producing natural wines with deep respect for the land and minimal cellar intervention.

The vineyards are primarily planted with Gamay for reds and Chardonnay for whites. They are farmed without synthetic chemicals, with grass cover and natural plant infusions used to encourage soil vitality. Harvests are handpicked in small boxes to ensure high-quality fruit.

In the winery, indigenous yeasts drive fermentation, sulfites are used sparingly after malolactic fermentation only, and aging takes place in older barrels to preserve the wines’ pure expression. The result is wines that are elegant, refined and expressive, fully conveying the influence of the region’s granitic slopes.

Domaine des Chanes focuses on small production bottlings — such as Fleurie “Poncié”, Chénas “Les Deschanes” and Beaujolais Blanc “La Cheville” — each offering a unique window into the character of its terroir and vintage.
