Marsannay "Héritage" 2023 – Domaine Huguenot
Marsannay "Héritage" is the flagship cuvée of Domaine Huguenot. Sourced from a rigorous selection of old vines on the appellation's finest terroirs, it expresses the quintessence of Northern Côte de Nuits Pinot Noir. Beneath a deep ruby robe, it reveals a complex and aristocratic nose of black fruits (blackberry, blueberry), peony, and liquorice, with a perfectly integrated touch of noble oak. On the palate, the wine commands a dense and fleshy structure, carried by silky yet firm tannins that guarantee excellent aging potential. The finish is long, fresh, and mineral. A Marsannay of character and great aromatic purity, combining the estate's historical power with the elegance of organic farming.

The Nobility of Time For the Héritage cuvée, Philippe Huguenot seeks the natural concentration that only old vines can provide.
-
Exceptional Terroir: The plots are located on hard limestone and marl soils, typical of the Côte de Nuits, giving the wine its backbone and minerality.
-
Organic Viticulture: Certified organic, the estate prioritizes meticulous soil work so that roots dive deep to capture the terroir's identity.
-
Patient Aging: The wine is aged in French oak barrels for 12 to 15 months, with about 25% to 30% new oak. This adds a velvety patina and spicy complexity without ever overshadowing the fruit's radiance.
