The Domaine P.M. Jacqueson presents with this cuvée "Les Cordères" one of the finest tributes to the appellation Bouzeron. Unlike classic Aligoté, the estate works with Aligoté Doré here, a finer, more aromatic variety that offers superior complexity.
A Unique Terroir
Located at the top of the slopes overlooking the valley, the terroir of "Cordères" benefits from a very poor limestone soil. This geographical situation forces the vine to draw its resources from deep, giving the wine its sharp minerality and the elegance that has made the estate famous.
A Precise and Respectful Vinification
To preserve the brightness of the fruit and the typicity of the grape variety, the Jacqueson family applies a rigorous method:
-
Pressing: Gentle and gradual to extract the finest aromas.
-
Aging: Carried out with care to add volume on the palate without ever masking the wine's natural freshness with excessive woodiness.
Sensory Profile
-
In the glass: A crystalline color, with pale gold and silver reflections.
-
On the nose: A greedy and lively nose, evoking spring flowers, lime, with a hint of flint and fresh almond.
-
On the palate: The attack is lively and citrusy. The mid-palate surprises with its fleshy, almost creamy texture, before stretching into a saline and persistent finish.
