Solessence Extra Brut - JM Séleque
Solessence is the flagship of the Jean-Marc Sélèque style: a champagne of pinpoint precision, vibrant and deeply balanced. A blend of Chardonnay (50%), Meunier (40%), and Pinot Noir (10%), this wine draws its complexity from a perpetual reserve aged in oak foudres. The nose offers an elegant score of fresh fruits (apple, pear), citrus, and white flowers, with a very subtle buttery touch. On the palate, the attack is frank and dynamic, supported by a creamy mousse and a saline minerality that lengthens the finish. With a very discreet dosage (Extra-Brut), it is a champagne of great purity, capable of shining as both an aperitif and a gastronomic companion. An essential benchmark for lovers of modern grower champagnes.

The Harmony of Time and Terroir Solessence is not just an entry-level cuvée; it is a piece of fine watchmaking reflecting the diversity of the estate's terroirs (Pierry, Moussy, Épernay, Mardeuil, Dizy, Boursault, and Vertus).
-
Perpetual Reserve: Nearly 50% of the blend comes from a perpetual reserve started years ago and kept in wood. This adds a patina and richness not found in classic bruts.
-
Precise Winemaking: 90% of the wine is vinified in stainless steel to preserve fruit freshness, while 10% goes into oak barrels for structure. Malolactic fermentation is partially completed to maintain natural tension.
-
Long Aging: The wine rests for about 24 months on the lees in the bottle, allowing for full aromatic development before a low-dosage disgorgement (2 to 3 g/l).
