List of products by brand Domaine Giachino
Located on the slopes of the Bauges Massif, Domaine Giachino is a family adventure led by Frédéric, David, and Clément Giachino. Pioneers in Savoie, they cultivate their vines using organic and biodynamic farming on the limestone scree soils of Mount Granier. The estate is famous for reviving rare grape varieties like Persan and Douce Noire, while elevating Jacquère and Altesse to new heights. Their wines, vinified with minimal intervention (often without added sulfur), are characterized by vibrant energy, crystalline purity, and remarkable drinkability. An essential domain for discovering the "natural" and elegant side of Savoie wines.
Biodynamic Excellence at the Foot of Mount Granier
Domaine Giachino embodies the qualitative revival of Savoie. Since 2006, the entire vineyard has been certified organic, a process complemented by biodynamics to strengthen the link between the vines and their ancient rocky soil.
A Philosophy of Respect and Boldness:
-
Scree Terroirs: The vines are planted on land created by the collapse of Mount Granier in 1248. This soil of limestone debris brings unique mineral tension and saline freshness to the wines.
-
Indigenous Grape Varieties: The estate is a true conservatory. Beyond the emblematic Mondeuse or Altesse, the Giachino family protects Savoyard biodiversity with rare cuvées that offer original aromatic palettes.
-
Natural Winemaking: In the cellar, work is low-intervention. Fermentations occur using indigenous yeasts, and aging is carefully managed to let the terroir express itself without artifice. The result? Pure, fine, and deeply sincere wines.
