List of products by brand Krug

The luxury of exception and the art of blending since 1843. The House Krug is one of the few signatures in the world that produces only prestige cuvées. Renowned for its complete vinification in small oak barrels and its incredible library of reserve wines, it offers champagnes of unparalleled complexity, richness, and longevity.

The Heritage of Joseph Krug

Founded in Reims in 1843 by Joseph Krug, the House is based on a revolutionary vision: to offer the best champagne every year, regardless of climatic variations. This challenge, passed down from generation to generation, gave birth to the Grande Cuvée, the flagship of the House, which transcends the very notion of vintage.

A Unique Know-How in the World

What distinguishes Krug is an obsessive attention to detail:

  • Wood fermentation: Krug is the last great House to ferment all its wines in small oak barrels, promoting micro-oxygenation that adds structure and aging potential.

  • Respect for the terroir: Each plot is vinified separately. The House thus has a palette of hundreds of different wines to create its blends.

  • Time: At Krug, time is an ingredient in its own right. Bottles rest for a minimum of 7 years in the cellar for the Grande Cuvée, and much longer for the vintages.

The Krug Range: A Constellation of Flavors

  • Krug Grande Cuvée: The most generous expression of champagne, recreated each year (Editions).

  • Krug Rosé: A champagne of rare elegance, with notes of wild berries and spices.

  • Krug Vintage: The interpretation of the character of a specific year by the House.

  • Krug Clos du Mesnil & Clos d'Ambonnay: Mythical parcel wines, true jewels of purity.

A Word from Our Sommelier

"Buying a Champagne Krug is entering another dimension of tasting. It is a wine for meditation and gastronomy. To appreciate its complexity fully, we advise not serving it too cold (ideally between 10°C and 12°C) and using wine glasses rather than narrow flutes."
