The Longrow Peated is the heavily peated version produced by the famous Springbank distillery in Campbeltown. First created in 1973, it pays homage to the style of the former Longrow distillery, a neighbor of Springbank.
Unlike the classic Springbank (distilled 2.5 times), the Longrow undergoes a traditional double distillation. The barley is dried over peat fire for 48 hours, which gives it that sought-after smoky, earthy, and medicinal profile. True to the house's philosophy, it is bottled without the addition of coloring and without cold filtration.
