The 2022 vintage of Côte Rôtie by Pierre Burgaud is a true achievement. From a family estate that advocates respect for the terroir and minimal interventions, this wine reflects the complexity of the steep slopes of Ampuis.
The Terroir & The Vinification: Located on the legendary Côte Brune, the vineyard benefits from exceptional exposure. The Syrah vines draw their character from mica schist soils. The vinification is traditional: manual harvesting, slow maceration, and careful aging in oak barrels to refine the tannins without masking the fruit.
