Soliste Pinot Noir 1er Cru 2020 - JM Séleque
The Soliste Pinot Noir 2020 is an absolute rarity illustrating Jean-Marc Sélèque's mastery of his favorite terroir: Pierry. Sourced from a rigorous single-plot selection ("Les Gaynes"), this 2020 vintage Blanc de Noirs expresses a dimension of Pinot Noir rarely seen in Champagne. The nose is complex and breed-true, offering notes of fleshy red berries, orange peel, and the smoky minerality typical of Pierry's flint. On the palate, the wine commands a masterly structure—both vinous and vertical—carried by a crystalline, fine mousse. The zero dosage (Brut Nature) lets a persistent, saline finish shine through. An auteur champagne, intense and vibrant, produced in very limited quantities for lovers of great terroir wines.

The Ultimate Interpretation of Pierry Pinot Noir In the "Soliste" series, Jean-Marc Sélèque seeks to isolate the DNA of a single grape variety in a specific year. The 2020 vintage, sunny and early, provides exceptional substance here.
-
"Les Gaynes" Terroir: This Premier Cru plot is characterized by flinty clays over a chalk bedrock. It lends the Pinot Noir a tension and precision not found in the heavier soils of the Montagne de Reims.
-
High-Fashion Winemaking: Fermentation and aging in oak barrels. Jean-Marc favors a low-intervention approach: indigenous yeasts, no filtration, and extremely reduced sulfur usage to preserve the fruit's vibrant energy.
-
Purity and Longevity: This 2020 is presented as Brut Nature (Zero Dosage). It is a wine for long aging that will continue to gain complexity and mousse refinement over the years.
